So what does ‘illustrating workshops‘ mean?

As a cartoonist I will capture some(A lot!) of the issues raised during the day in a fun and memorable way. In the past these have then been hung around the walls to make a stimulating environment and as a reference to the learning points raised. Electronic copies can also be forwarded onto delegates after the event to remind them of the main points.

Inspirational cartoons, quotes, phrases and sayings are motivational when used in team building sessions, conferences, speeches and training courses. Inspirational cartoons contribute to motivation because they provide examples and role models, these inspirational images stimulate motivational images and feelings for the brain to visualise. Powerful positive imagery found in motivational cartoons, cartoon strips, quotations and poems is genuinely motivational for people, especially in teams – it builds confidence and belief.

Visualization is a powerful motivational tool – cartoons, quotes, stories and poems provide a very effective method for inspiring and motivating people through visualization, imagination and association.

Working with Richard in my training workshops has been a real delight. His ability to capture the main points of the discussions and translate these into superbly drawn and intensely humorous cartoon summaries is awesome. I distribute his cartoons as a summary of the workshops and I know that many of the participants hang them on their walls or put them on their desks. They certainly don’t do that with my written notes!
